Bowl Scale for Parrots and Small Animals

The Bowl Scale for Parrots and Small Animals is a professional grade scale for weighing birds and other small animals that cannot perch.

For typical parrot weighing, check out the NU Perch Parrot Scale.

This special bowl edition is primarily for Avian and Exotic Veterinarians, Breeders, Rescues, or anyone with a handicapped bird that is unable to perch. The bowl makes weighing super young baby parrots, injured, handicapped, or extremely flighty parrots possible.

Plastic lid with air holes included. Use lid to keep fidgety birds in the bowl until a weight reading can be made.

The scale runs on 3 included AA batteries which last a long time. The scale has an automatic off setting so that you don't have to worry about saving power. This scale can also be plugged in using the supplied AC adapter power cord.

The scale can be set to read in grams, ounces, lbs, or kg, however, I recommend keeping it in grams for the most convenient numbers. The scale comes with instructions and weight tracking sheet to help you get to managing your parrot's weight.

Accuracy down to 1 gram. Available units include grams, ounces, pounds, and kilograms. Backlit display is easy to read in bright or dark rooms. Display can read down to the following units: 1g / 0.1oz / 0.002lb / 0.05oz / 0.001kg

The bowl is stainless steel for easy cleaning and sanitizing. Bowl diameter is about 5 inches at the bottom but widens out to 9 inches at the top. This allows weighing any small to medium parrot including: Conure, Ringneck, Quaker, Cockatiel, Senegal, Caique, Amazon, Eclectus, African Grey, Galah, Goffins Cockatoo. It can also be used to weigh large parrot babies including Cockatoos and Macaws while they are still small.

While this bowl scale is intended for parrots, it can also be used for weighing small mammals and animals up to 3kg/6lbs including hamster, rat, guinea pig, rabbit, hedgehog, chinchilla, and reptiles.
