Do Poicephalus Parrots Bite Hard? Does a bear poop in the woods? I'm not sure because I haven't witnessed it first hand! But, from what I hear they can bite quite hard.

Senegal Parrot, Meyer's Parrot, Red Bellied Parrot, Brown Headed Parrot, Jardine's Parrot, and Cape Parrot are all part of the Poicephalus genus.

Because these birds can be fierce biters, you do not want to be on the receiving end of one of these bites. Respect the beak and do not go asking for it. Instead, use positive reinforcement training to get the parrot on board with what you are asking such as to step up, come out of the cage, come off your shoulder, and go back into the cage.
