Here are 3 essential tips on how to keep a Quaker Parrot off your shoulder. You've heard that it's better not to let your parrot on your shoulder. You know it is difficult to get a Quaker off your shoulder once he gets up there. You don't want to risk getting bit in the face or have a hard time taking the parrot off your shoulder. So how do you keep the bird off your shoulder to begin with?

This video covers 3 tips for keeping any parrot off your shoulder:
1) Encourage the parrot to be on your hand using treats, cuddles, and attention
2) Keep the parrot off your shoulder by holding your hand high and your elbow bent down like a V making it harder to run up the arm to the shoulder
