Outfitting Cage for Baby Great Green Macaw

Let's configure this cage for a Baby Great Green Macaw. After removing all the old supplies and cleaning the cage, it is time to make an all new configuration with new perches and toys. I begin setting up the baby macaw cage with perches first. The location of the perches will determine where I end up placing the toys. The position of the perches depends on the location of the door, food bowls, and how to position everything to minimize mess.

I put multiple Parrot Wizard NU Perches in the cage. NU Perches are the most comfortable kind of perch for parrots as they feature a varied bumpy texture unlike dowels or smooth natural perches. These are less slippery and provide better grip. NU Perches are also softer on the feet.

Furthermore NU Perches come for many other purposes like the Training Perch which is height adjustable. The tray is independently height adjustable to accommodate long tails!

I set a "coming out perch" which is the perch closest to the door to facilitate easy step-up to come in and out of the cage. I chose a Hardwood NU Perch for this purpose.
