Duke Budgie Parakeet Wave Foot Trick On Cue

We finally trained Duke to do the wave. He picks his foot up really quickly and puts it back down. This is a big improvement from what he used to do. He used to just tap his foot on the perch but through meticulous training, we got him to pick it up just once and as high as he can reach. It is very difficult to train a budgie to wave because their feet are so small and they are not used to lifting them so high. But after a month of teaching it, we finally got it good.
